Hypothesis: Education in New Brunswick was experiencing a fair amount of conflict between regional identity and the global perspectives in the 1980s Social Studies curriculum. This especially became evident with the launching of a pilot project called Maritime Studies, which was set out to replace Ancient Medieval History in grade 10.
